EGYPT 02/2002 - SAINT JOHN'S SITE
|Unfortunately, some corals are dead (dynamite fishing). Inspite of this, the Saint John area gives a lot a pleasure to divers. It is not rare to come across sharks: grey (Carcharhinus amblyrhynchos), white tip (Triaenodon obesus and Carcharhinus albimarginatus) and even oceanic sharks (Carcharhinus longimanus).|
Check dive. Beautiful canyons and caves. Very nice dive.
|ABU ISHARA (horse shoe)
Night dive. A lot of dead coral. Not interesting.
Nice reef. Beautiful gorgone and soft coral.
A lot of small reefs where you can slalom.
|SHAAB ABU FENDERA
Dead coral. Not interesting.
|ABU CURRUM (cave reef)
Wonderful site. A lot of canyons and fields of fire coral. Very nice dive.
|SATAYA (Dolphin reef)
A big reef. Nice wall of hard coral. A lot of spotted rays lying on the sand.
Wonderful Site. Funny and complex labyrinth of caves (very safe). Very nice dive.
|ABU GALAWA "The Tienstin"
Little wreck at about 20 meters. The reefs around are beautiful.
